Privacy policy
The short version:
- Bubble Flap does not collect, store or share any personal data.
- There are no accounts, no ads and no analytics or tracking in the game.
- If you use Game Center, your scores and achievements are handled by Apple.
- If you email us, we only use your message to reply to you.
Who we are
Bubble Flap is made by Stefán Jóhann Arngrímsson, an independent developer based in Iceland who publishes games under the name Mothlark (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for this policy and you can reach us at support@mothlark.com.
Information the game collects
None. Bubble Flap does not ask for your name, email or any other personal details, and it does not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, photos or usage data. We don't use advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services.
Your game progress and settings (such as your best score) are saved only on your device. We can't see them, and they are removed if you delete the app.
Game Center
Bubble Flap uses Apple's Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. If you're signed in to Game Center on your device, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple and shown to other players together with your Game Center nickname and avatar. This is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We don't receive your Apple Account, email address or real name.
You can stop sharing with Game Center at any time by signing out under Settings → Game Center on your iPhone or iPad. The game works fine without it.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to answer you and to fix problems you report. We keep support emails for as long as needed to help you, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, and it loads no third-party content. It is hosted by GitHub Pages, which may log visitors' IP addresses for security and to keep the service running; see the GitHub privacy statement.
Children
Bubble Flap is suitable for players of all ages. Because the game collects no personal data, we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Under data protection law (including the GDPR, which applies in Iceland) you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. In practice, the only personal data we could hold is a support email you've sent us. Write to support@mothlark.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, Persónuvernd, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
If the game changes in a way that affects your privacy, for example if we add a new feature that needs data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top before that version of the game is released.
